Who We Serve
You are an immigrant, far from the land you once called home, now living in one of Brazil’s 2,600 favelas, a sprawling slum where life is a daily struggle.
Your shelter is pieced together with scraps, surrounded by the harsh realities of poverty: disease, poor sanitation, rampant crime, and the looming presence of gangs and drugs. Hunger gnaws at your stomach, but worse still, your children wide-eyed and innocent look to you with empty bellies and hopeful hearts. This morning, you gave them the last handful of rice. There is nothing left. You feel stuck. Forgotten. Alone. Then, something unexpected happens.
While your children are playing in the dusty alleyways, they meet a kind woman. She smiles warmly and asks to speak with you. When you meet her, she leans in quietly and says she has something for you, food. Not just a meal, but a bounty so generous you’ll need help to carry it. You’re stunned. How could this be? She hands you a small ticket and tells you to meet her the next morning.
You arrive, unsure of what to expect. But then, your arms are filled and overflowing with rice, beans, cornmeal, salt, sugar, oil, pasta, peas, coffee, flour, toiletries, even laundry detergent. Enough to feed your family for an entire month. Enough to breathe again. And then, she gives you something even more precious: hope. She shares the Word of God, telling you about the Giver of all good gifts the One who sees you, knows your pain, and loves you deeply. In that moment, surrounded by abundance and grace, you realize you are not forgotten. You are not alone.
This is exactly the story of one of one individual which was reached by this ministry in June of this year. We seek to reach the slums of Brazil with much needed food and the gospel of Jesus Christ for struggling families stuck in poverty.
For over 25 years We has been traveling annually to reach some of the 6% of Brazil's population that lives in a favela. In June 2022, through the funds and donations received as gifts, we were able to reach 480 people,120 families with enormous gifts of food that would last each family for one month. She was also able to distribute Bibles with each "Basket of Love". We have been able to reach hundreds of families over the past few years.

Our Mission
Baskets of Love is more than just a ministry. It’s a lifeline for families in Brazil who are struggling to put food on the table. We deliver baskets filled with essential groceries, but we also bring something deeper in the love of Jesus Christ and the hope that comes from knowing they are not alone.
Our mission is simple: feed the hungry, share hope, and reflect God's love in a real and tangible way.
Every donation, every prayer, every act of support makes a difference. You are helping us reach families who feel forgotten and remind them they are deeply loved.
Thank you for being part of this. You are changing lives.

Supporting Change

Food Distribution
We host food distribution events to reach families who are facing real hardship and food insecurity. Every basket we give is packed with essential items, meals that help carry them through tough times and remind them that they’re not alone. It’s more than just food. It’s hope, shared in love.

Community Support
Our community support programs are all about showing up for people when they need it most. Whether it’s through outreach, practical help, or simply being present, we’re committed to lifting up families and helping them find strength and hope. We believe in empowering people, not just meeting their needs, but encouraging their hearts.

Fundraising
We organize fundraising events and initiatives to keep our mission going strong. Every contribution helps us extend our reach, offer more support, and touch more lives in the communities we serve. Your generosity truly makes a difference, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Volunteer Efforts
Volunteers are truly the heart of our ministry. Their time, energy, and compassion allow us to reach more families and make a deeper impact in the lives of those we serve. Every meal delivered, every smile shared, every prayer offered, it all starts with them. We’re so grateful for the love they pour into this mission.
